Wordless 9

This image was taken with NASA’s Hubble telescope. What you see is a pair of one-half light-year long interstellar “twisters”, eerie funnels and twisted rope structures in the heart of the Lagoon Nebula which lies 5,000 light-years away in the direction of the constellation Sagittarius. The bright light in the lower right corner is not the Sun, but it is a star.

Cool, huh?
