On this day in 1982 Ozzy Osbourne bit the head off a bat he thought was rubber while performing at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines, Iowa. There is a little controversy regarding the incident. Ozzy states the bat was alive while the lady who brought the bat to concert contends it was already dead.
