On this day in 1955 the Blue Moon Boys including Elvis Presley headlined at an amusement park in New Orleans.Yes, that's Elvis in the middle.....
Other members of the group included Scott Moore, Bill Black and DJ Fontana. The group was fairly instrumental in developing the sound that came to be known as rock and roll. They took Elvis on the road, coached him and have great responsibility for his success.
